We need a word to describe the feeling you get when you register for an online service and find that you can use your full umodified name as a user ID, e.g. garyturner instead of gturner0392 or slaphead3000.
Often of an evening I find myself signing up for as many useless services as possible just to get that winning feeling you can only get when you are the first forenamesurname to register and to revel in my victory and imagine the defeated look on the faces of all the other Gary Turners when they try to register, only to find I got there first.
Sometimes I even sign up using other names like davewiner or docsearls just to piss them off too - I mean picture Doc sitting there being told that there's another Doc Searls who got to something before he did - serious self doubt issues would start to creep in as he struggled with the concept that there's another Doc Searls out there who's more up-to-date on the latest tech biz than him.
It's a freakin hoot I can tell ya.
