Windows XP. Yes it does.
This must be some kind of record number of posts on a Friday or something.
Anyway, I've been using Windows XP for a couple of months now and I'm very encouraged by the fact that every time it merely trips up or stumbles perilously close to the good old blue screen of death it diligently pops up a helpful little dialog box which offers to waddle off to International Rescue's Seattle base to log the glitch, look for a fix or just apologise. Admittedly they still don't know what caused it but its a start.
I've had a few wobbles now (presumably earlier windows versions kept quiet about minor problems, but succumbed to BSoD for the biggies) but I'm encouraged that Bill will now be forced equate the reliability of his products with the amount of money he has to sign off increasing the server and storage capacity at Windows Online Crash Analysis.
In fairness XP has been OK so far, I installed something which upset my SCSI CD drive and used System Restore to effortlessly undo all the evil damage, facilitating a swift dose of registry amnesia returning my system to its former undamaged glory and the online (and offline) help and support services are pretty darn good.
