I just managed to get this blog's domain renewed this evening, several hours after it technically expired. I really do need to set up a reminder or something to ensure this doesn't happen again - one of the benefits of having a proper commercial hoster is that it's in their financial interest to remind clients about domain renewals. But when you cut loose and it falls to you personally to remember when your domain renewal date is looming, it's easy to forget.
I've also managed to secure some hosting from a good blog friend, James, who's going to make room for me on his server. Should be set up and transferred by the end of the week, hopefully.
