Joi explores some interesting thoughts and observations about M-Time and P-Time on his blog. Certainly in my working life there's a holy war being waged between both factions, largely subconciously as I swither between pre-ordained Outlook appointments, ad-hoc micro-meetings, the 50+ times people wander into my office during the day if I happen to leave my door invitingly open - which is a lot of the time - , the telephone, email (work & personal), IM, SMS, dings, pings, bleeps & creeps.
However, now armed with this new knowledge and awareness I'm going to try and see if I can conciously manage between both M-Time & P-Time. I think my natural tendencies lean towards P-Time.
