Last night I caught the end of a BBC Radio 4 interview on the subject of the Christ Community Church burning Harry Potter books on the grounds that they glamourise him downstairs. When questioned by the BBC Radio 4 interviewer about comparisons with witches in The Wizard of Oz, the good Pastor defended the Oz book on the grounds that Dorothy had, after all, had a dream which he felt negated the entire fact that witches played a major part in Oz and why he wasn't suggesting they burn it too.
