Why Actors Will Never Blog, Or Does de Niro Know Perl?

I know said I'd give this blog a day off. I lied.

I'm indulging in the sport of picking on Australians today over at Blogstickers.com, since they appear to be among a small number of countries who have yet to participate in the sticky mania. Its really good fun.

This got me thinking about classifying or recognising bloggers in groups, something that I had not yet thought about. In fact blogging appears to be pretty a much classless society.

However there is one type of blogger I don't think we'll ever see. Actors. Why? Well because the only kinds of computers actors can use (you know, the ones with square coloured lights that flash in random sequence) simply require them to very quickly press keys in quick succession, as if typing really fast but actually typing something like "!;lfn;oweirunawube-#mfmkskJDHdir934al!", and all their screens ever do is scroll loads of characters and random report information past really quickly illiciting typical actor responses like "Oh no!" or "there it is!" and "get me the FBI" - usually accompanied with a church bell tolling in the background during a full screen close-up shot.

That's why actors will never blog. That is, all actors apart from Robert de Niro who, as a famously meticulous method actor, probably already knows COBOL, Perl and can build an Intranet in around half a day.
