Four Things (For Suw)

After 6 years of resistance, I've finally done a list meme post...

I'm doing this for Heather Tom Suw and for anyone who ever reads this site because I've been too busy and too distracted trying to get some movement in various areas of my life to post here as much as I'd like. So even though it's filler...

- Selling tubs of cream, door to door on Saturday mornings aged 16
- Driving new cars around the country for a car dealership summer job
- Shop assistant in a 1980's specialist computer store for 10 months
- Managing director of a software company

Four movies I can watch over and over:
- Fight Club
- Glengarry Glen Ross

How Long

Before Macs can run* (legitimately with Apple's blessing / design, or not) classic Windows applications as discrete OS X processes in their own separate windows rather than by using emulation or a virtual machine?

I say before summer 2007.

* By 'run' I mean to imply - properly, acceptably and not requiring a hacked-up, Dilithium Crystal powered 'workaround' with tons of exposed wiring and crocodile clips and stuff and which, without fail, catches fire after precisely 15 seconds of use.

Terms Of Endangerment

Where I come from the phrase "You tube!" is not very complimentary. But I've been perusing You Tube and Google Video - both more or less in the same vein - and thus far I'm quite impressed with this whole internet video lark.

But, far more impressed was my inner Glaswegian who took a predictable delinquent pleasure in repeatedly searching for things like "Diddy" in "You Tube". Often I find it's the simple things in life that get you through the day.
